The Jr. Shamrocks bingo progressive jackpot is up to $1600 this coming Tuesday (December 1). If you bingo in 56 numbers or less, you can take home this jackpot. Bingo takes place at the Pro Patria Legion on Gorge Road. Doors open at 4:00, first 45 bonanza numbers called at 5:45 pm.
For those bingo aficionados on your Christmas list, we are hoping to have gift certificates available in the next week or so. This would make a great stocking stuffer for people on your list. Once they are available, you can either pick them up at bingo or contact Sherry Huckin (srhuckin@telus.net).
Please note that, due to the holidays, our last bingo of 2009 will take place on Tuesday, December 22. There will be special give-aways, Christmas goodies, and lots of fun. December 29 we will be closed and will re-open on Tuesday, January 5, 2010.
The Jr. Shamrocks are planning a fund-raiser to take a group of fans to an NLL game in Everett, Washington. The date is February 19 and the teams will be the Calgary Roughnecks and the Washington Stealth. Plans are to travel from Victoria to Everett in a Wilson’s Coach on Friday, February 19. We will take in the game that evening, overnight in Everett and head back to Victoria on February 20 with a possible stop for lunch and a bit of gambling at a Casino en route. There are several current and former Jr. and Sr. Shamrocks on the rosters of both teams. Cost is $250 per person and includes all transportation, accommodation including a continental breakfast on Saturday, and game tickets. Please remember you must have a passport or enhanced ID to travel across the border. Jr. Shamrocks Season Passes are now available. The cost is the same as last season - $70 for adults, $40 for seniors or students. Again, this would make a great stocking stuffer for people on your Christmas list. Unfortunately we can only take cash or cheques but if you are interested, contact me and we will work something out. We do not have individual game day passes available currently.
